I watched this yet again last night. What a well done documentary! You just felt for them, their emotions were so evident, him, his wife, his friends. It was haunting. The last transmission Andrew did, the "this is kayak one, I have an emergency,……..I'm going down…" is just heartbreakingly lonely. He sounds as if he is so hyperthermic, but brave and trying to stay alert. It bothers me for days after I watch it again.
My thoughts are with his wife and friends, I know it's been a long time since he was lost. I just admired her obvious love for him and what he loved doing. It's just an impressive documentary.
He could have try crossing the ocean with a medical crew onboard ship along with his journey. Still, very inspiring.
