The Venus Project: Resource Based Economy is a short documentary talking about the future design for human civilization. This kind of system makes use of available resources, instead of money, to deliver a fair process of circulation on the most humane and productive way. Of all of the human evolution in history like the industrial age etc. this is by far the most challenging of all. The future by design will be our greatest legacy for our future children of the world. What does it matter how much money you have and at the end you can't take it with you. Time to grow up and evolve or perish like the dinosaurs.

This system is got nothing to do with communism or is it a Utopian society. You should check out Zeitgeist Movement on youtube the one tittle moving forward. Is very good and can teach you what this is all about. If you haven't seen this yet perhaps you'll come back here and take back what you wrote. By the way I'm cuban and lived there for 11 years under communism and I can't stand that type of government no more that I can stand the us or any other man made system. In a rbe there will not be an individual or a party ruling or telling you what to do. Is about utilizing our natural resources and technology to bring a better standard of living for everybody on the planet.

Actually, Venus project is a great name for this. If we know anything about Venus, it's that it is as near to literal hell as one could imagine. That's what this utopic communistic system would bring-hell on Earth.
All this is is sexed up communism. Supporters deny that based on a number of reasons, but at its heart, this is communism, nevertheless. One of the most absurd things about it, is when it criticizes the current system for production of cheap goods that don't last long. With their system, they say, people would have the best goods that are built to last, because cost is not a factor. Consider this for a second. Imagine you get a computer that will last for twenty years or more that would cost $100,000 in this economic system. Imagine it is the fastest, best computer science and technology know how, and its yours for nothing. Since it was built to last, even though the technology and science would have improved and advanced from the time your computer was built, you would be stuck with yours for a very long time, since, it was built to last. You will not be able to get an upgrade because, if you everyone could do that, resources would quickly be excede capacity, and remember, money won't buy you anything anymore.
That is just one example of the flaws in this system. On the surface, this seems Utopic. As If this isn't bad enough, at its core, it is actually just evil. You would be surrendering your free will to beneficent scientists and planners, who of course, know better than you, and only do what is for your good, even if you don't like it.

u can upgrade components easily and efficiently recycle the unwanted part rather than throwing out the whole Computer.
as for communism, look it up. where do u get "evil" from the resource based economy? because what its primary objective is to look after the welfare of everyone. how is that evil exactly?

To be able to develop this ambitious cities….. to begin with, they need to wipe out all we know seems like NWO if you ask me , but he has some really good concepts.
That Future Jacque Fresco's talking about is Gods Kingdom where there won't be anymore sin. Sin will vanish been and people will live with God. The kingdoms of men are stimulated by sin and haven't any power to transform themselves.
Human nature is to search for power for themselves and for rest they search for less power so they could create belief among them that they are super human race then one below. The entire world is on this issue where very few seeking power among them so they could rule? poor, under class, upper class always look down on theirs lower human race. This is evilness and these upper class human race never been challenged? Yes, this VENUS project could finish off devil and it creation forever.
project venus by Jacqui is very great and innovative project.here she has tried to show us a simple way to restrict corruption. and she has also tried to change the way of financial transection.just wish this project will get success and popularity in its standard. and waiting for more inovative project like this from her.
This is indeed a very innovative yet a human race friendly project. It is great that finally, an individual became concern enough not just on how to earn but also to help the world as well. I just hope that Jacque Fresco will continue creating ideal projects like this.
This is a very brilliant concept! With money being the source of corruption and all sorts of evil, I've been really thinking of a what way it could be feasible to delete monetary transaction in the circulation process. Jacqui just answered my long-time question! I am so impressed with how she was able to intellectually come up with these very good methods and I am very positive that given full cooperation and support, the Venus Project will be very effective. I pray for its success. I am so excited to see the future world without selfishness, greed and corruption and with all people depending and supporting one another. What a noble idea. I fully support Jacqui Fresco in this endeavor.
